EDOUARD BUGNION

Professor, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL)


Edouard Bugnion has been a non-executive member of Logitech's board of directors since September 2015 and serves on Logitech's Technology and Innovation Committee.

Dr. Bugnion is a professor in the School of Computer and Communication Sciences at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). He also served as the Vice President for Information Systems at the EPFL from January 2017 to December 2020. Prior to joining the EPFL in August 2012, Dr. Bugnion was a founder and chief technology officer of Nuova Systems, Inc., a developer of enterprise data center solutions, from 2005 to 2008. Nuova Systems was funded by and acquired by Cisco Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in Internet Protocol-based networking products and services. He joined Cisco as a vice president and chief technology officer of Cisco's Server Access and Virtualization business unit from 2008 to 2011. Prior to Nuova, Dr. Bugnion was a founder of VMware, a leading provider of cloud and virtualization software and services, where he held many positions, including chief technology officer, from 1998 to 2005.

Dr. Bugnion serves on the boards of directors of InnoSuisse (a position to which he was appointed by the Swiss Federal Council) and of the Fondation de l'Hermitage and is a member of the Assembly of the International Committee of the Red Cross.

Dr. Bugnion holds an Engineering Diploma from ETH Zürich, a Master's degree from Stanford University and a Ph.D. from Stanford University, all in computer science.
