Hapvida Case Study - Logitech Video Collaboration Solutions
With nearly 6 million current users and a rapidly growing network of hospitals, emergency rooms and clinics, Hapvida is the largest healthcare operator in Brazil.
Now, Hapvida is investing in a telehealth initiative to bring specialized medicine to patients who don’t have ready access to brick-and-mortar healthcare facilities.
Logitech Video Collaboration technology enables medical practitioners to exponentially expand access to neurology, cardiology, psychiatry, pediatrics, and other specialties in diverse regions throughout the country.
Since launching their telehealth program in 2019, Hapvida already reports an increase of over 1,000 percent in the number of medical consultations provided.
Hapvida, with the support of Logitech Video Collaboration solutions, is massively increasing access to healthcare throughout Brazil and literally changing the definition of what it means to see a doctor.

“Lives are being saved by prompt and proper medical advice enabled through video meeting technology”
José Monteiro Luciano Cunha
Director, Corporate Telemedicine
As the largest country in South America and the sixth most populous in the world, Brazil is geographically diverse. Serving the healthcare needs of patients outside Brazil’s urban centers can be challenging. “Rural municipalities have serious deficiencies in specialist doctors,” said José Monteiro Luciano Cunha, Director of Corporate Telemedicine at Hapvida. “Patients need to travel long distances to be treated.” To address this challenge, Hapvida is investing in a telehealth initiative.
Video technology that brings doctors and patients together face-to-face is a game changer, massively expanding access to care and enabling medical practitioners to see and treat far more people. Hapvida uses the all-in-one Logitech MeetUp conference camera and Logitech BRIO webcam to make it happen, each ideal for small meeting spaces like examining rooms. “Today, patients can be supported by specialist doctors from the network in a maximum of 15 minutes,” said Hapvida’s José Monteiro Luciano Cunha. “This would be unthinkable in offline conditions.”
