Overview

Founded in 1878, National Military University (NMU) is the oldest institute of higher education in Bulgaria. More than 500 cadets are currently studying in various specialities and, as aspiring professionals, they expect their teachers to keep up with new technologies and use innovative teaching methods.

NMU has many processes and tasks that require frequent use of online video conferencing, including participation in numerous international projects under the EU Erasmus and NATO programs.

“We had to find a solution for our IT infrastructure last year, especially for video conferencing,” said Colonel Petko Petkov, NMU Director of Foreign Languages Department. “We chose Logitech Rally and Logitech MeetUp."

“These Logitech products save a lot of travel cost and employee’s time,” concluded Colonel Petkov. “They provide an excellent solution that makes it feel like people are together in the same room. A really good start has been established and we will continue in this direction.”

Challenge

National Military University engages in video meetings frequently. Video collaboration is essential between its locations in Veliko Tarnovo and Shumen and its participation in international projects under the EU Erasmus and NATO programs.

“We had to find a solution for our IT infrastructure last year, especially for video conferencing,” said NMU’s Colonel Petkov. “Video meetings, webinars, online and hybrid training are part of our daily life,” added IT supplier Borislav Manov at ASBIS Bulgaria.
